The 14 days
The period runs for 14 days from the day you — or someone you nominate — take physical possession of the goods. If an order arrives in several parcels, it runs from the day the last one arrives.
To withdraw, tell us before the 14 days are up. A clear statement is enough: an email saying you are withdrawing, the standard form below, or a letter. You do not have to give a reason, and we will not ask for one.
Where to send it
- Email: support@mazodesign.shop
- Telephone: +45 31685249 — please follow a phone call with something in writing so both of us have a record of the date.
- Post: Mazo ApS, Dronningens Tværgade 50, st., 1302 København K, Denmark
We confirm receipt of every withdrawal notice by email. If you have not heard from us within one business day, assume the message did not arrive and send it again.
Sending the goods back
- Return them without undue delay and no later than 14 days after telling us you are withdrawing.
- You pay the return carriage. For a small article that is a parcel; for a large pendant it is more. We will tell you the realistic cost if you ask before you send it.
- Pack it so it survives the journey. Original packaging is ideal but not compulsory — adequate packaging is.
- Include the order reference. Without it a returned parcel can sit unidentified for weeks, which delays your refund and helps nobody.
- We do not accept parcels sent cash-on-delivery or without prepaid carriage. That is not a refusal of your withdrawal — tell us and we will sort out how to get it here.
Your refund
We refund everything you paid, including the standard outbound delivery cost, within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice. We may hold the refund until the goods are back with us, or until you show they have been sent — whichever happens first.
The refund goes back by the same means you paid with, unless you agree otherwise. It costs you nothing. If you chose a more expensive delivery option than our standard one, we refund the standard cost rather than the upgrade.
Handling and reduced value
You may handle an article the way you would in a shop: unpack it, look at it, switch it on, see what the light actually does. That is the point of a 14-day period on a lamp, and it does not reduce your refund.
You are liable for any reduction in value caused by handling that goes beyond that — scratched metal, a torn paper shade, missing parts, a base marked by being used on a rough surface. Where that happens we deduct a proportionate amount and tell you exactly what we deducted and why. We do not use it as a reason to refuse the return.
Fittings that have already been installed
This is the part that matters for pendants and hard-wired wall lights, so it is written out rather than left vague.
- Having installed a fitting does not remove your right of withdrawal. We do not refuse a return simply because the article was wired in.
- It must be returned complete, and in a condition that reflects normal installation and removal — the fitting, its ceiling or wall plate, its fixings, its cover parts, and any bulb supplied with it.
- Marks that are the unavoidable result of installing and removing an article are accepted: small tool marks on a backplate, a shortened cord where the article is designed to be shortened, screw marks on a mounting bracket.
- Damage beyond that is treated as reduced value — a cracked diffuser, a cut supply cable that was not designed to be cut, a bent arm, a shade that has been drilled. We deduct proportionately and explain what we deducted.
- Removal is electrical work. A hard-wired fitting must be disconnected by an authorised electrician, exactly as it was installed. We do not reimburse the cost of installing or removing an article — that is a cost you take on when you have it fitted, and it is one reason to check the Light Plan before ordering rather than after.
What cannot be withdrawn
Very little on this site is excluded. Nothing we sell is made to order, personalised, or sealed for health reasons. The ordinary exceptions in Forbrugeraftaleloven apply — for example goods that by their nature become inseparably mixed with other items after delivery — but in practice that does not describe any article in this catalogue.
Standard withdrawal form
You do not have to use this form; any clear statement works. It is here because the law says it must be available, and because it saves you writing one.
(Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract)

This is separate from the right to complain
Withdrawal is for changing your mind. If something is actually faulty, you have a separate and longer right — two years under Købeloven — and it does not run out after 14 days.
